Tom McGuinness is Managing Partner with MKP. Prior to that he was formerly Chief Executive of the Irish Productivity Centre where he worked for over 25 years as a consultant, project director, trainer and facilitator.
He was the only agreed assessor by the Social Partners in relation to inability to pay claims under Sustaining Progress on behalf of the Labour Relations Commission.
He is currently Chairman and Non Executive Director of a number of companies and has substantial experience of developing and implementing strategy for a wide variety of organisations.
Tom has also lectured and published extensively on organisational change and is contributing editor for a book for employee’s facing redundancy published by Blackhall Books entitled “The Redundancy Book”. He is qualified to Masters Degree level in Organisation Behaviour and Industrial Engineering.
Dermot Killen is Joint Managing Parnter of MKP. Before that he was HR Director for Smurfit Ireland, then Smurfit Ireland & UK in an environment that was totally performance driven.
In these roles, he was responsible for Management Development, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits,
Industrial Relations, Recruitment and Selection including the Jefferson Smurfit Group’s highly regarded Graduate Management Development Programme.
In dealing with IR issues, he has operated at local, national and European levels, particularly in respect of business rationalisation, collective redundancies and transnational works councils.
As a practitioner, he is vastly experienced in policy and strategy development across the full range of HR issues and in supporting the members of senior management teams, individually and collectively, through the mechanisms of counselling and/or coaching as and when required. He is a main board director of CIE.
Like Tom, Dermot is qualified to Masters Degree Level in Organisational Behaviour and lecturer to Masters Degree level in HRM.
Ruairi O’Lochlainn is a graduate Industrial Engineer and has post graduate qualifications in Project Management from Dublin and Manchester.
After spending his early years working in a range of functions in Waterford Crystal and Thermoking, Galway, he embarked on a successful career in consultancy.
Over the past fifteen years of professional practice, he has worked in the areas of productivity improvement, business process engineering and Lean with a broad range of SME's and top-tier organisations in both the public and private sectors.
Geographically, he has worked extensively throughout Ireland, the United States and the new member states of the European Union where he was based in Prague in the Czech Republic for a number of years. He now works as a Senior Associate Consultant with MKP focussing on lean, independent assessment and analysis helping organisations to deal with change.
